fantastic place. We stayed in a spacious, sparkling clean and comfortable attic room with a lovely view. There is an access to a small and basic equipped kitchen (you cannot cook there but there is a microwave and a kettle to keep you going ) and we were grateful for it :) Its a great option to keep your stay on a budget. However there is an absolutely stunning dining area where you can buy drinks/food if you wish to do so! Or just sit there and enjoy the view. The personel is super nice :)

This guest house is 20 km from Vík and 1.5 km off the Route 1 Ring Road. Wi-Fi and parking are free. All rooms have a view of Pétursey Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.

It was super close to the black beach, so first thing in early morning we could enjoy it without the waves of tourists. And there was enough supply of shared coffee and tea and some food other people left in the kitchen to eat something decent (for once for free in this country), kind of like cozy hostel vibe, but with your own private room.

Everything we needed was provided—coffee machine, kettle, towels, shower gel, shampoo, cotton pads, and more, which made our stay incredibly convenient and comfortable. But the best part was the hospitality! The host went above and beyond, taking the time to give us amazing recommendations and even sharing homemade bread, local alcohol, and shark with us. The place was also spotless, and the attention to detail was exceptional. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and memorable stay!
