Stayed for 3 nights and this was our favourite place during our Sri Lanka trip. Homely feel and amazing food and service. Enjoyed the library and endless cups of excellent tea. Our room was comfortable and clean, lots of hot water. Wifi worked very well in the library area. Tea tasting was interesting and some nice walks in the area. Thanks to Dave and the staff for a memorable stay :)

Very nice and helpful staff, happy to advise and help with everything. Breakfast was great and if you pay for dinner, you get one of the best rice and curry! The rooms are spacious and clean. The view from the pool is priceless! ❤️

Sarath and his wife Deepthi are the most delightful hosts. We had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home in the jungle. We had a steam massage (highly recommended) and Sarath took us for walks around his spice plantation. It’s a beautiful place to unwind and chill, and you are looked after so well. Deepthi’s cooking is amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Friendly and trusted staffs. They provided everything what we asked. Facilities are as per the details provided at the time of booking. Even though I paid extra day as check out time is 11am and I left the facility at 6pm, they refunded my extra day payment.

This was our second stay at Ashburnham Estate, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. This was by far our best accommodation in Sri Lanka. The room was beautiful, clean, and bright, with brand-new facilities. From our room, we could enjoy both sunrise and sunset, and the rooftop offered an even more stunning view. The highlight was the owner and his incredible hospitality. He went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable stay. We had both breakfast and dinner here, and dinner was truly a special experience. He shared his unique way of preparing fried rice and gave us deeper insight into Sri Lankan culture and cuisine. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to stay here!
