Great joint. Room is little hence the name economy single room.  There's no windows so wouldn't recommend staying for longer than two or 3 nights. But they do have other doubel sized rooms if you wanna stay for longer.The place is spot on. Clean and well Maintained. The house owners are kind and reasonable people as well. I don't know what the previous asian lady was talking about but they do provide free WIFI and no dramas with the toilet tissues. Overall brilliant place for a visit. Get some business done or for a good night sleep before you hit your long trip.

When we first went, Mr. Mohan welcomed us with a smile. He was very polite. Even though we stayed at home, we had the comfort of a hotel. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The rooms have air conditioning. special refrigerator. We had breakfast together and chatted. The pool was great fun. It was a very nice experience for me. It was my best 5 days in Colombo. If I come again I will meet Mr. Mohan again.

I stayed 4 nights at Jay’s Guest and absolutely loved it! The room and kitchen were super clean, and the whole place felt like home. It’s perfect if you want to cook your own meals or do laundry during your stay. If the location works for you, I’d definitely recommend it.

This was the first stop in our Sri Lankan trip and We weren’t quite ready to brave the hustle bustle of Colombo, Athma house was perfect for that. A small escape where you could admire the city lights over the lake while nestled behind a jungle shield. However central enough for you get out there if you want to. The owner of the property was our highlight. A fabulous well traveled woman with a warm welcoming energy. Her mission to make us feel at home. The interior was a feast for the eyes. Authentic and eccentric. The property was originally built as her home and it still feels that way, lived in and full of soul. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer. We stayed for one night and would recommend a minimum of two nights.

I needed visa extension.. Stayed at villa 53.. 2 mins walk to visa office. Pure luxury.. All the mod cons. Lovely pool outback. Great staff. Just what I needed..

We really enjoyed our time at Mohan’s homestay. It was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and Mohan was a great host. Breakfast was delicious and served on a balcony that provided a perfect spot for birdwatching. Thank you Mohan for your wonderful hospitality.

Great host. Really helpful in nature, peaceful location, a bit farther away from main attraction area of Colombo, a bike/scooter/tuk tuk/bus needed for commuting between Galle face, Pettah, Fort area. Great budget option. Really homestay like feeling, finally stayed there for more than one instances, the owner became a friend, still in connection with her. Without a word she agreed to keep our luggage when we were out of Colombo for further journey. Would like to repeat the same option of staying here.

Shiranthi is a lovely host. She gave us a lot of useful information and made us tea every morning. The location is a little outside of Colombo but reachable very easily and cheap by local bus. It felt like home for 3 nights. We would definitely recommend
