It was a pleasure staying at this brand new guest house , which is on a beautiful and clean island in the middle of the Indian ocean with a beautiful beach and perfect place for swimming and snorkeling, especially for kids ( daughter 9 and son 2 years old). Ayira is a nice guesthouse with excellent Maldivian hospitality and service. They offer tasty fruits, fresh juice and coffee whenever you want. Breakfast is great and you can choose: Maldivian or continental. Also the dinner is very good and reasonably priced. Overall the experience was brilliant and we enjoyed our weekend getaway a lot. We have been staying at the hotel and we certainly cannot have more than words of gratitude for the treatment received by Ali and Abdul, they have made everything very easy for us. It is the most suitable place to stay in Feridhoo and with good breakfasts. I would recommend it 1000 times. As for the island, a haven of tranquillity, where time passes slowly, where the white sand and the colour of the water leave you breathless. A place where you can enjoy the tranquillity and authenticity of the island's people, very welcoming and friendly.

Razeen, the manager and his team (including the owner of the Shifa Lodge) always fulfilled our wishes, whether earlier breakfast due to our divings or organizing boat excursions. The boat transfers from and to Male were perfectly arranged. Razeen's family owns a few guesthouses on the island and the boat for excursions and transfer is also in the family's property. The dinner buffet at nearby Castaway guesthouse was very rich, as well as the breakfast at Shifa Lodge. If you favor a stay on an island with locals and you do not need the luxury of a resort, you are right here. Everything on the island is in walking distance. If you are diver, we recommend Noohiri dive center (Nitrox only, we made the certificate with them). The island provides good snorkeling areas at the east side, you can encounter guitar sharks patroling in shallow water. We will come again.

At first, the accomodation is exelent. Nice location, cozy ambient in front of the room. a lot of natural shadows. The room was big and very clean. Also has been cleaned every day. About the staff: I can’t find the right words for them. Those people are very kindly, warm, polite and always prepared to help. Highly reccomend. 10/10.

The room was very nice and clean, the guesthouse staff were all super friendly. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruits and juice! The guesthouse is located very close to the bikini beach and the Finholu.

It is very well located. The host is very nice and friendly, he gives a lot of good tips and information about Mathiveri. The breakfast place is very very good and generous!

We had a fantastic 5-night stay at Velana Vibes on Mathiveri. Although our flight delay caused us to miss the last boat, the host Munzir kindly arranged a night in Malé at his own expense and offered to cover taxi costs – a truly generous gesture. On the island, his assistant Imma took great care of us throughout the stay – from preparing delicious breakfasts to organizing our return transfer and even lending umbrellas during rain. The guesthouse is modern, very clean, and well maintained. Our room was spacious, air-conditioned, with a private bathroom and daily cleaning. There’s a lovely shaded lounge/dining area, free use of a washing machine and a drinking water dispenser – thoughtful extras that made a big difference. The location is perfect – just a few minutes’ walk to the bikini beach, local shops, and restaurants. When we were briefly stranded on a picnic island due to a storm, Imma quickly arranged a boat to bring us back. The hosts also offered a short buggy tour around the island to introduce key spots. They provide a variety of excursions and activities too. Overall, Velana Vibes was an excellent choice – friendly hosts, great service, and a peaceful island setting. Thank you Munzir and Imma – we hope to come back!
