Besides the beauty of this house we also loved the location. It was exciting and very easy to travel to the city center by ferry. It is all very well organized with access to metro and trains, the ferry running every 15 min. We would definitely stay here again. PS Don’t miss the Syrian Restaurant (Damasqino) down the road, excellent food and lovely people!

We were traveling with a group of friends and stayed 6 nights in two of the three rooms. The rooms were clean and the mattresses were comfortable. Each bedroom has AC. The common areas like the bathroom and the kitchen are cleaned every day. You can get to the house from the center by ferry and then tram or bus, or you can take the tram to Pragal, which is the nearest train station. An Uber/Bolt will cost you around 10-13 Euros to the city center directly from the house and it usually takes max 5 minutes for the Uber/Bolt to arrive. All in all it was a good experience and I can recommend it.

Very comfy little bed, beautiful artwork around the house, super good location to take the tram. Vanda is reason enough to visit Almada again. She was the best host I’ve ever had! I loved staying up late chatting with her and tasting her yummy cooking. She spent a lot of time researching things for me to do because she wanted me to have the best time possible. She was so thoughtful. She really cared that everything was perfect for me and her cat Gucci was special and moody. A lovely grumpy cat. If you want to get on his good side, he loves carrots.

At Palacio we had soooooo many people who went out of their way to make our visit outstanding. From the dear people in the kitchen and the dining rooms every morning, preparing and serving our lush breakfast, to the impeccably dressed doormen and reception-ladies, who were ready 24 hours a day to attend to our every need! Come rain or come shine. Thank you Allan, Victoria, Ricardo, Lucio, Joao, Daniel and one name that we could not remember exactly: Diogo/Diego... there were more than 15 great people.     The location is good and the host Vanda is super friendly. Super nice balcony I was not really aware that it is a homestay when I booked i.e. you live with Vanda and her cat in the apartment. Vanda does mention it but for me it was not clear
