Gabriel and Jorge, the hosts, can create an atmosphere of being welcome, of being home - not being client XYZ… The suites/apartments have roughly the size of a big hotel room (including a nice bathroom in the rocks), but with a big terrace facing the sea. The mattresses are of good quality so the basis for a good sleep is ensured. The kitchen (which is part of the room) has a single ring (induction) and a microwave - enough to prepare a breakfast, but not a full-fledged dinner. But there are enough nice restaurants in Calheta centre or… one can book a meal prepared by Gabriel, who is not only a great host but also an excellent chef. It was really a wonderful time we had at this place, thanks Gabriel and Jorge!

It's a nice apartment on the lower part of Prazeres. You will have a view on the sea and on some parts of the mountains. Lucky, there's a parking lot right next to the house and you only need 8 minute by foot to the next supermarket and pizza restaurant. The owner is very friendly and I was greeted with a clean apartment. There's a kitchen but it's only missing an oven. On the other hand, there are 2 big bedrooms, each with an own bathroom (shower and bathtubs). From there you reach Funchal within 45 minutes by car and the streets are in good condition. I made some hikes in the area and if you're not with a car, taxi (Bolt) there is no problem. Be careful about bus stops as I had trouble to find them. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to everyone who likes to have a quiet environment and a more rural experience. For a more organised daily life, a clothes rack at the entrance would be nice so I don't need to put my jacket away in the bedroom.

The communication with the host was pleasant and uncomplicated! I loved the property, it has not only a great location, but also is very modern. The kitchen, living and dining room and terrace are large enough for all the guests in the house to have their own space. My "Deluxe double room with balcony (no. 5) was spacious and had a balcony, which is shared with the neighbouring room. This was not a problem for me. Highlight: The sunrise, priceless view from this adorable place. I can only recommend staying here!

Our stay at Casa dos Reis was absolutely amazing! The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was clean, well-equipped, and had stunning mountain views. We loved using the fully equipped kitchen, and the heated pool was a fantastic bonus. The location is peaceful, perfect for relaxation and exploring the island. Highly recommend this place—we will definitely be back!

The place is absolutely beautiful, even it is far from everything (you have to drive to get somewhere). It is like a rural area of small village so not many stuff around but the view in the morning from windows was just spectacular. Staff was helpful and really nice. The breakfast was good enough to get your day started. I really enjoyed the bed, I could sleep in there all day. if you like calm spot with a amazing view, this is your place.

Very beautiful and clean house with spacious rooms and super friendly staff! Also it is perfectly located for the hikes in the area, there is a super market and many cool local bars nearby. The kitchen is also well equiped, spacious and clean - perfect for a home cooked meal after a long hiking day. Lovely place to stay on the hill side near Sao Vicente. Definitely need a car to stay here and it is a short drive into the town. Loved our stay here, it was clean, comfortable and had everything you need! Kitchen facilities were great.
