The place is very pleasant, confortable, very central. Breakfast is good and complete. Decorations of the rooms beautiful. Carlos the receptionist very welcoming and careful to your demands. I really recommend this guesthouse which is exceptional.

Everything was wonderful. Beautiful accommodation, extremely nice hosts, perfect location, excellent restaurant next door called 1864 (owned an run by the same hosts as the accommodation).

A great room in a great location, literally steps from the center! The room was so thoughtfully set up. Every little thing, they’ve thought of! Hooks where you need them, bedside lights, powerbar next to the bed, shower caddy,, water, coffee machine, biscuits, everything you need. Personalized check-in. All in all, wonderful!

Quinta da Cancela is an amazing place. First of all, the location is beautiful, with vinyards all around, a big lush garden, and a small pool. Then, our room was charming snd cos, And finally, Arthur, our host, was so welcoming and generous with advice regarding the area, with his explanations about wine production and the wine industry, and his heritage stories. We enjoyed his wines as well. Highly recommemded!!!

The breakfast exceeded the expectations: very well prepared. A lot of variety and care. The host was very kind and available to help us solve any issue. The room was clean, cozy and with a great attention to details: the coffee machine is a big plus. Very fair price for all the facilities.

I can't speak highly enough about this place. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. The beds were very comfy.Added benefit of having a bar , restaurant . The breakfast was nice and the 2 home cooked evening meals we had were delicious, plentiful and well priced. There's a bus stop close to the hotel .But the owners rang for a taxi for us,which was 9€ in to the old town, which is beautiful. We also had free off road parking. I would highly recommend and I am already planning my next trip. Defo 10 out of 10.
