The owner was very helpful and caring. The apartment itself is small, but there was a bath in the bathroom, what turned out to be big plus because we got completely wet during the day in Fanal. The apartment is in a very good location.

Everything! This place is beautiful, peacefull, quiet at night. It is spotless clean. I would describe it as luxury rural tourism at its best. The location is great, you could sit by the pool all day and look at the mountains and bananas. Its a good position in almost the centre of the island for exploring. Good restaurants and one levada with tunnels around also. And finally, ladies who work there are awesome. They do an amazing job and make you feel like at home. They helped us with everything and for us they made this stay completely fantastic. I travel a lot and this was my top three stay ever. Thank you! P.s. breakfast was abundand and top notch with local food and beds are super comfy

Gabriel and Jorge, the hosts, can create an atmosphere of being welcome, of being home - not being client XYZ… The suites/apartments have roughly the size of a big hotel room (including a nice bathroom in the rocks), but with a big terrace facing the sea. The mattresses are of good quality so the basis for a good sleep is ensured. The kitchen (which is part of the room) has a single ring (induction) and a microwave - enough to prepare a breakfast, but not a full-fledged dinner. But there are enough nice restaurants in Calheta centre or… one can book a meal prepared by Gabriel, who is not only a great host but also an excellent chef. It was really a wonderful time we had at this place, thanks Gabriel and Jorge!

Very beautiful and clean house with spacious rooms and super friendly staff! Also it is perfectly located for the hikes in the area, there is a super market and many cool local bars nearby. The kitchen is also well equiped, spacious and clean - perfect for a home cooked meal after a long hiking day. The owners are super responsive, check-in and check-out was so smooth and well organized.

It's a nice apartment on the lower part of Prazeres. You will have a view on the sea and on some parts of the mountains. Lucky, there's a parking lot right next to the house and you only need 8 minute by foot to the next supermarket and pizza restaurant. The owner is very friendly and I was greeted with a clean apartment. There's a kitchen but it's only missing an oven. On the other hand, there are 2 big bedrooms, each with an own bathroom (shower and bathtubs). From there you reach Funchal within 45 minutes by car and the streets are in good condition. I made some hikes in the area and if you're not with a car, taxi (Bolt) there is no problem. Be careful about bus stops as I had trouble to find them. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to everyone who likes to have a quiet environment and a more rural experience. For a more organised daily life, a clothes rack at the entrance would be nice so I don't need to put my jacket away in the bedroom.
