Wonderful place to stay when in Koh Chang. The huts are simple but very clean and comfortable. You get a hammock as well to relax in front of your hut. It's just a couple of minutes walking to the beach. And 4 minutes to the pier with plenty of shops, restaurants and booking agencies for trips around the island and ferries to neighbouring islands. Absolutely recommend this place, stayed 5 days and it was perfect. Also the Pippin restaurant in front is delicious and cheap

Very nice place to stay, the bungalows are great and the place amazing to chill and be relaxed. The area of Bang Bao is far from the places with more people and fun so it is great if you want to be relaxed.

Nice little bungalow with everything you need for one or two people. My favourite things about it were the staff (very friendly and helpful) and the surroundings (the grass in front with bean bags, the covered area where you can sit and look at the sea and the place where you can go and have a swim)

A truly beautiful experience in the jungle. Puts everything materialistic into perspective We don't need much to be happy - somewhere to sleep, water and food is all that's necessary. Above all, the kindness and warmth shown by Gang was incredible. She made us so welcome.

"Ray" (Cowbytours) booked us into Freedom Home for a couple of days/nights of the "REAL RURAL THAILAND EXPERIENCE!" There were 5 of us in total but only myself and Ray had visited Thailand before. Immediately, 2 out of the 5 said they weren't cut out to stay in a place this basic but that's the whole point- it's an experience- and a fantastic one at that! They actually booked alternate accommodation (££££s) and the remaining 3 of us stayed and loved every minute :) At one with the jungle and the sounds of nature (whatever was out there!) "TOM" who runs and actually built the whole place is a SUPERB host! He was totally fine that even though the other 2 had left, they were welcomed with open arms at his bar we liked to drink at. He makes you feel extremely welcome, where he engages you in stories, jokes and tricks- it's such a great way to get you and the other guests chatting and laughing together with him. There was a guy with his wife/girlfriend who had stayed there for 5 weeks... that's a compliment to how great a place Freedom Home is to stay at! Thank you so much for such a great stay and our friend Brandon still can't work out how the Chang Beer elephants turned away from each other... the magic monkey really is magic!!! :)

Yak bungalows are in the very nice and calm neighborhood, but with all things that you need like bars and restaurants with beautiful surroundings of a jungle and so close to the very nice beach. Yak is a very friendly and helpful person, he can tell you anything you want to know about the island or trips around. Bungalows are very nice with your own private bathroom and comfy bed. Kitchen is shared - I misunderstood that when I was reading about bungalows, but there's everything you need and also you can buy some drinks in here. I recommend this place

    Modern bungalow, great host's. I have stayed in a lot of booking.com places in the last 4 years (lived in them), the after care that these guys supply to their guests is something I have not experienced before, the WhatsApp group for travelers staying at the accommodation is a great idea, making it easy for people to make friends and share information. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keep up the great work 🙏

    Awesome homestay! I booked for 2 but extended and extra 3 nights! The staff who worked there were so sweet and kind and helpful. They also made some unbelievable cheeseburgers oh my goodness. It was in a very safe area with a great location, some super sweet dogs who guard the hostel as well! The pool was nice, it was super easy to meet other travelers, and my room was great! Also, the amount of nature in around the hostel was just amazing. Monkeys jumped on my roof at 7 AM to wake me up sometimes it was amazing!

    Very nice homestay and a great escape from the touristy parts of Koh Chang. Bungalow in garden with plamtrees and mangrove. The family was very helpful, It was possible to rent a scooter, arrange fishing trip etc.

    I booked homebar for 5days but ended staying there allmost 7weeks,love this place in the middle of pure nature. Kang is really good host and person, so happy all the time and good cook! Allready miss her food. Enver allso make really tasty pizza-buffet and kebab! Had so nice time here that when I come back to the Island, this is the place im gonna be. Thanks for everything, see you :)
