It turns out that the spectacular view is surpassed by the incredible service. Katiusca was amazing! We felt so welcomed and so grateful for all the extra things she did for us. She organised my favourite wine and aperitivo for a romantic evening. We used their brand new e-bikes to visit the town easily. Katiusca brought us some special cake cooked by her mother for Swiss National Day and invited us to join a local celebration. Everything was perfect and I just didn’t want to leave, I felt like I had found a new friend! The whole experience was wonderful. I don’t often leave reviews but this was so well deserved. Thank you. The breakfast was amazing.The surrounding stunningly beautiful.

Skiing, cycling and hiking are possible within the area, and Casa Oliver, tra la Calanca e i castelli di Bellinzona offers ski storage space. A very lovely B&B for a one night stay. An easy 5 minute stroll into town. Hosts were delightful and gave us good recommendations for nearby restaurants, and even walked with us to make a reservation, which was handy as our Italian is hopeless! Note the bathroom is downstairs so be aware of that when booking, if mobility is an issue

There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. Mendrisio Station is 48 km from the guest house. Marco was a fantastic host, very welcoming. Dinner was delicious, everything was homemade and homegrown or very local (rocket from the garden, fish from the lake, wine from the neighbouring vineyard). Marco’s mixed pasta was exceptional. We had a super evening, nicely finished in front of the fire with grappa and music on the juke box. Super breakfast too… loved the walnut bread and so many delicious delicacies. We will definitely be returning, this is a very special place and worth a detour.

The host didn't speak English but I didn't have any problem to understand the directions about the check-in / out procedure
