There were two families with young children staying when we were there and it was wonderful to see how relaxed they were as their kids pottered around the garden and petted the hotel dogs. This was a highlight of our 6 week trip in Chile and is highly recommended. Also, the breakfast is great!

The bed was super comfortable, everything was clean, the shower was nice, the staff was friendly, the common areas including the kitchen was super. It's around a 20 minute walk to the center, so if you don't mind that, this is a very good value hostel!

The hostel arranged a penguin tour and kayaking tour for me - both a lot of fun. The hostel is located right across the street from Bus Sur Station so if you are planning to travel here by bus from Castro or Puerto Montt, take Bus Sur! It's alos located just a few blocks from the shore and from many restaurants, supermarket, and cafes.
