A recently renovated homestay situated in Fenghuang, Fenghuang Ancient Town Lazy Cat Riverside Inn features a terrace. With mountain views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The homestay features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The hotel will let you know where the taxi should drop you off. it is about 1-2 minutes walk from the drop off. The owner will meet you at the drop off to guide you to the hotel. The location for the Hotel is really strategic. We stayed for 2 nights and managed to explore the main area multiple times. The sound from nearby pubs were off around 11pm so it wasn’t an issue for us. The owner was try friendly and helpful in his suggestions (especially on good food). We will stay here again in future.

The accommodation is in a guesthouse furnished in a typically Chinese style, and that alone is an experience. Solid wood or lacquered furniture, porcelain, and paintings give the feeling of being in a beautiful museum. There we also experienced the tradition of Chinese tea, from preparation to tasting.

She helped me plan my a day in Tianmen mountain and two days in Zhangjiajie. Without her I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the parks, as I don’t speak Chinese and it’s hard to get by without the language there. She also checked in to make sure I was okay. I would recommend 100% anybody (Chinese or foreign) to stay here as on top of the service the rooms were also very clean and comfortable, spacious, etc.
