Staff were really friendly and took us on tours into the jungle and down the river to see some wildlife and indigenous communities. The hostel itself is a great place to relax and switch off. The top terrace has a great view over the river, and we even saw monkeys running along the wire just in front of the terrace!

The staff was incredibly kind and responsive. They were very helpful in helping us organize our itinerary and make sure we were able to do everything we wanted. Tour guides we booked through the property were friendly and knowledgeable. The property and the community of Mocagua were amazing and very comfortable. We appreciated the experience of staying within a community so dedicated to sustainable tourism and conservation projects. The food was also excellent.

Our stay here with Leo and his wife, Elizabeth, exceeded our expectations. The rooms are comfortable and the hammocks are a great way to unwind after a long day. Leo took us on amazing adventures and when conflicts with scheduling happened, he saw to it that we were well taken care of. He speaks some English and we speak some Spanish, but it was only a small obstacle and it didn’t take away from the tours. Leo is incredibly patient and knowledgeable about the area and Elizabeth is an amazing cook. It felt like they had included us as family during our stay. Thank you for taking such great care of us during our adventure. We would recommend this stay to anyone.

Not only are the owners and their entire family extremely kind and helpful, the food is also amazing and they are the only place in Macedonia (the village) with uninterrupted electricity and high speed internet thanks to solar panels and Starlink (satellite internet). I got quite a bit of work done during my stay and was also able to relax. The hostel is located at the edge of the village (about 5 min walking from where you arrive by boat), which means that it's very quiet and peaceful.
