Το Don Jiménez Guesthouse βρίσκεται σε Puerto Jimenez, σε απόσταση 2,8 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Παραλία Playa Tigre και προσφέρει καταλύματα με εξωτερική πισίνα, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο... It is a wonderful place. Macaws in the almond tree, parrots arriving and departing (always with a great party :)), a wonderful garden, 2 really cute cats. We really loved it there. Beach, Supermarket and restaurant are walking distance. A perfect place to start a Corcovado tour as well. Lubna was on holiday when we arrived, but she managed everything from the distance. We had the place for us own, its a shared kitchen and bathroom. Be sure you have money with you, it was not possible to pay the room with credit card.

This cute little hut is located right in the cozy village of Doz Brazos. Nature is all around around you: If you like that (and don’t mind seeing one or the other bug), you’ll love this place. Animals we saw and heard were chickens, cows, lots of cute dogs and even a Tucan in the distance! And regularly, some hummingbirds visited us while we had breakfast on the terrace. The house itself has a kitchen and a semi-open structure. The walls for example don’t go all the way up, which probably helped the airflow & was the reason why we could sleep without a fan. There were fans in our bedroom & the main room. Our bedroom was lockable from the inside, the other bedroom had a curtain instead of a door, but that would’ve been fine for us as well. Honestly speaking, we were a bit skeptical upon our arrival. But this skepticism quickly went away due to these factors: First of all, because of our hosts. The family lives right next to the hut and was super welcoming, nice and helpful. During our first breakfast, they even brought us a nice welcoming snack! With all the kindness, they still left us plenty of privacy. Another reason were our temporary “flatmates“, another couple that came for a day and moved into the room with the curtain. They were very kind as well & we had some nice conversations on the terrace. Last but definitely not least is the initial reason why we booked this place: Access to the Bolita rainforest trails. Since the owners work at the Bolita rainforest hostel, free access (without any guides) to these beautiful hiking trails through the jungle was granted. Though I imagine, we would’ve seen more animals if we had an Costa Rican with eagle eyes with us! Luckily, Carlos, one of the owners, offers guidance (only Spanish though). Very soon, we felt very comfortable and happy to be in such a remote, authentic & beautiful place (just check out the garden photos!) with so many nice people.

Το YEJOS Jungle Lodge διαθέτει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα και μπαρ, στον προορισμό Dos Brazos. This is a perfect little oasis. We stayed in the cabin with kitchen which couldn't have been better. The breakfast was the best on our trip and our host charming and attentive.

The owner, Zuley, was so friendly and helpful. The hammocks outside were very relaxing and a good fully equiped kitchen to use. Rooms were comfortable and parking was secure on-site. I would recommend the La Sirena trip with her son-in-law Kirley.

The location was great, right in town and walkable to the beach, grocery stores, and restaurants. There was air conditioning, potable water, hot water in the shower, safety features, and a beautifully stocked and clean kitchen and bathroom. The host was very welcoming and communicative!

Το Los Mineros Guesthouse βρίσκεται σε Dos Brazos και διαθέτει αίθουσα γυμναστικής, κήπο, βεράντα καθώς και δωρεάν WiFi. Suzanne, the host, is very nice, helpful and communicates in several languages. She sent us excellent directions by text message so we wouldn't get lost following her GPS suggestions. Her husband Channy was our tour guide, who is not only very nice but is actually a native of the jungle. He knows all about the local wildlife and tailored a tour for us that would make us maximally happy...and beyond. The accommodation is not up to my usual European standard of comfort, but no insects or lizards came into the room at night. So I would recommend to everyone that after a refreshing shower you just close your eyes and enjoy the sounds of the jungle. I feel that our trip to Costa Rica was crowned by Channy's fantastic tour!!!
