The host, Victor, was so helpful and patient with my questions. The bed was comfortable, the setting was gorgeous. Also the food!!! There Was so much of it and it kept coming. This was the best food I've eaten on this trip so far.

For all the vegetarian hikers, I wouldn’t even think one second and book this place again - it was the best vegetarian food I have eaten in south america :)

She runs an amazing, comfortable and welcoming guesthouse. Her hospitality really made the hostel feel like a home and enjoy Riobamba so much more. I 100% recommend her- best place to stay in the area, even Ecuador. Thank you so much! I'll be back.

Located in Isinliví, Hostal Taita Cristobal offers accommodation with seating area. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. The guest house also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This place is not as famous as the Llullu Llama Lodge but it offers the same quality and friendly atmosphere! The hosts (2 sisters) were super friendly, they lit the fireplace even though we were the only guests. The food was delicious and the portions were huge!

The owners of the hostal live onsite and are so helpful and sweet!! I had a simple private room which was very comfy, quiet, and well equipped. Breakfast always had good coffee and yummy fruits.

The room was clean and well-sized with good-state furniture.

Providing a tranquil environment, the rooms in The Yellow House feature private bathrooms with hot water. This property is run by the most lovely German mother and daughter duo. A huge bonus is that they speak fluent English, German, and Spanish. The rooms are big, airy, and clean. They also serve a breakfast with fresh juice, coffee, variety of fruits, bread, and eggs. This is an extremely safe location as it is literally a 1 min walk to the center of Plaza Foch. (This area is heavily patrolled by police so one of the few areas in Quito that is safe at night with tons of restaurants and bars around.) There is also a supermarket Maxi close by. Another bonus I found out through being here is that Gabi, the mother, also works as a tour operator so she can help with planning or recommendations of where to go since she has been living in Ecuador for over 10 years along with running this hotel. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!
