All rooms at the Ciudadela are heated, and there is a TV. Most rooms have a work desk and a private balcony. The location is perfect. Short walks to all the main sights. Friendly staff and a very comfortable, clean room. An added bonus was the rooftop terrace! Just step out the door and a ride to the top in the elevator gives you an oasis amid plants and views of the city. Lots of chairs and lounges. We would rest up there for a couple hours at the end of the day before heading out for dinner.

The Goya offers comfortable accommodation with contemporary décor and wooden floors. Each room has air conditioning and heating. Some rooms also have a balcony. it was as central as it could get. Just by Placa Catalunya but still a street behind it so one does not hear the trafic as much. The building and the staircase seemed old at first site but once getting inside the hostel it is renovated and the actual rooms and inside it was very fresh, clean and really nice. You get a muffin and a coffee,/tea which is nice. It had a nice seating area where one can have breakfast. Not an actual kitchen but still enough for a few days. It was clean and even had a small balcony if you are a smoker. The staff is so kind and friendly and we only stayed one night but we could have stayed longer. Nice place for couples or friends who are there a few days.

About 20 minutes to the center of Barcelona by metro, line L1. We left extremely satisfied and will recommend it to everyone!

With a terrace, the 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. If I had the chance, I would give Manuel 10 stars! Very kind, friendly, helpful, responsive! The rooms were spacious enough, very clean. There are restaurants, the sea and shops nearby. We were only in transit, so I can't say whether it is suitable for a long stay and relaxing by the sea. We were also advised of free parking nearby, although I don't know if it is as freely available during the season.
