What makes it truly special is the family, who go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The warmth and hospitality of the family was the highlight. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, especially the grandmother, who radiates love and generosity. Staying here feels like being part of the family, and it’s a privilege to share in their home and culture. Breakfast was tasty, served with warmth and generosity – the perfect start to the day. And we had the yummiest dinner, made with love and care by the grandmother of the house. It was our favourite dinner of our trip! The location is great for exploring Taveuni. It’s peaceful and feels authentically local, while still being convenient for getting around the island. Just remember, you're at the top of the Island so if you're looking to get around lots, consider hiring a car. We used the local bus service and it was great, but it's not the most regular of service. (enjoy Fiji time!!) Mostly, we had a blast getting around walking which built up an appetite :) Reach out and ask the family when you book if you need help getting around, they're more than happy to help sort out local transportation. Honestly, the only thing we wish is that we had found Jaydee’s earlier and stayed longer! It was the most wonderful stay and the most amazing memories. We can not recommend it enough!! Guests at the homestay can enjoy a continental breakfast. Our four night stay with Sam and Sarah was the major highlight of our visit to Fiji. They welcomed us into their family with real warmth and fed us extremely well both at breakfast and dinner in the evening. Sarah even insisted upon providing us with a packed lunch. They could not have been more helpful, even putting our clothes through their washing machine and hanging them up for us to dry. We and our fellow guests immediately felt completely at home. Sam is a retired schoolmaster and currently a taxi driver, while Sarah works at a local Resort. Sam was always cheerful and cracking jokes and, after taking us us to visit the highlight spots of Taveuni, would wait patiently to bring us back home again. He also met us off the ferry from Natuvu and took us to the small adjacent airport upon departure. One day their daughter had left her lunch box behind, so we had the pleasure of touring her school, a very happy place. We were very sad to leave and would love to return on a future occasion. We would thoroughly recommend AerowView Home Retreat to anyone who plans to visit Fiji.

Sarah and Sam have really good tips on how to visit the island and will adapt to your way of traveling:) The food is absolutely great, and I garanty, you won't leave the table hungry ;) The room was clean and tidy, with everything you need, even a newly added AC ! The homestay offers a continental or Full English/Irish breakfast. I had a perfect time with the most lovable Fiji family homestay. Sia, Charley, Jima and all the boys cared a lot for me and we had an amzing time together! Sia ist the best cook in all of Fiji, better then in restaurant i can tell, love her veggi food, fresh fish, curry and lots of fruits every day..i went horse riding with Charley, with the boys on the boat to honeymoon island for snorcheling, the reef is directly in front the homestay, amazing natural landscape! Pete the driver took me to lavena coastal walk in national park and drives you everywhere on Taveuni 😀i loved the cute dogs and the kids in the village are so fun. My room was nice, i had my own little cozy space and Sia and everyone makes everything perfect, helping me with all questions, embracing me like a daughter (as i'm travelling on my own), i felt welcome like at home. Got emerged in the real Fiji life, I came as guest and left as friend. This family is a jewel and i will never forget this beautiful time with them!
