You also can rent scooter there. The owners a really nice and helpful. They help you organizing give you tips and sometimes play games and talk at the night with you.

Yes, the music is loud. No, earplugs won’t save you. But credit where it’s due.. the band slaps. Think less “karaoke horror” and more “why aren’t they famous yet?” A short walk takes you to shops and local eats, and there’s a chill little beach right opposite Tataring for your morning cool-off or evening cooldown. Perfect if you’re into either deep sleeps or deep bass. Choose wisely when booking—or just bring your dancing shoes and call it balance. Shoutout to caretaker Siska, a sweet, smiley lady who checked us in with warmth and a no-fuss attitude. She also shared great tips on where to eat and what to do, local style. Note : Motorbike rental at a discounted rate to guest only! High recommended to round island.

De host was heel aardig en hielp met heel veel. We leenden daar een scooter die heel goed wertke, waarmee we het hele eiland over reden. Het ontbijt was ook heel goed. We konden kiezen uit een menu met veel opties zoals pannekoeken maar ook fruit - haver substanties. De kamer was heel fijn en de bedden sliepen goed. We hadden een mooi uitzicht op het meer.

I stayed at Juma Cottages by Lake Toba, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were all incredibly humble, welcoming, and accommodating, but Intan, the receptionist, truly stood out. She is such a warm and friendly person, always going the extra mile to ensure guests are comfortable. Intan was not only knowledgeable about the local area but also gave us excellent recommendations for things to do. One thing that really impressed me was her attention to detail—Juma Cottages doesn’t have universal charging sockets, but Intan personally went out of her way to purchase converters for guests. She lent them to us, which made our stay much more convenient. That’s the kind of service that made our time there so special. The cottages themselves are set in a stunning, scenic location, with a beautiful pool right next to Lake Toba. It’s so peaceful, with the soothing sound of birds chirping during the day. Honestly, it was hard to leave the cottage because it felt so tranquil and relaxing. The food at the cottage was delicious and reasonably priced, which was a nice bonus. As a small precaution, I’d recommend carrying mosquito repellent. While I personally didn’t experience many issues with mosquitoes during my stay, there were a few around, so it’s better to be prepared. Overall, Juma Cottages provided a truly memorable stay, and Intan’s exceptional service made it even better. Her warmth, helpfulness, and care for the guests really set the place apart. I highly recommend staying here!

Leokap Homestay bevindt zich in Tuk Tuk en heeft een tuin, een terras en gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. De kamers hebben een patio met uitzicht op het meer. Personeel is ontzettend behulpzaam. Locatie is dichtbij heel veel verschillende restaurantjes. Je kan heel gemakkelijk bij de eigenaren een scooter huren. Wegens medische redenen een ziekenhuis moeten opzoeken midden in de nacht en zelfs toen stond de eigenaar klaar om te helpen en heeft ze mij en mijn vriendin ook richting het ziekenhuis gebracht. Al met al een goede locatie en zeker prijs/kwaliteit gezien.
