Service. Outstanding, the staff is supper helpful and even gives you recommendations for restaurants and things to do. They gave us snacks every day of our stay and refiled our drinks. I went by car, but actually realised would be surprisingly accessible by public transport as a small JR station is very close by. Miwa-san was a truly lovely lady – exceptionally kind, and also interested in overseas culture. Much of the delicious food was home produced – homegrown rice from the paddy field in front of the house, home-made jams and bread, and home dried persimmons.

The internet works pretty great and if not, there is a great signal reception.
