Of course, the owners, Satoshi and Elizabeth remembered us and were just as friendly and helpful as our first visit 2 years ago. Satoshi remembered that we weren’t able to find a soba restaurant open on New Year’s day the first time and did research to find one for us. I was so touched by his kindness. There is a new lovely shared bathroom and many new interior design pieces. I’m still in love with the open air bath that can be reserved. It’s such a relaxing, friendly inn with lovely owners. I highly recommend it.

He explained everything about the area in great detail and gave us a list of all the must-visit places. The house itself was very clean, cozy, and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable vacation. On top of that, it felt very authentic to the region, which made the experience even more special. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nikko!
