The room and shared spaces were very clean and in a good standard. The have really nice outdoor areas where you can relax and watch the beautiful nature of Ishigaki. If you have a car, the location is very good with a lot of beaches and things to do a short drive away. The owners were lovely and welcoming and made our stay at Ishigaki much better.

We chose to stay here for 2 weeks while working remotely and had an absolutely wonderful stay at Andy & Haruko’s property. Guest House Ishigaki is a beautiful, extremely clean, and well-designed house equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Farmer’s Market and tons of great shops and restaurants are a stone’s throw away, as well as the ferry to other nearby islands. We really appreciated Andy & Haruko’s attention to sustainability throughout, and their thoughtful touches, like the cold jasmine tea in the fridge at all times to cool down from the heat. We had let them know in advance that we would be working remotely and they even created a desk space for us in our room. And the beds were SO comfortable - we had the best sleeps here of our 2 months in Japan. Though the location and amenities were amazing, the best part about our stay was undoubtedly the people; Andy, Haruko and Yuichiro are some of the loveliest people who genuinely care about their guests. We could not have wished for anything more!

This guest house provides free private parking and a shared kitchen. The accommodation features bicycle parking and a shared lounge for guests. The host was so lovely. She helped me to go and buy food. The second night I spent, she organised a takoyaki evening. It was delicious. The rooms, toilets, bathroom are very clean and convenient. Then it is cheap! (just a bit noisy from the dining room)

She went above and beyond by picking us up from the ferry port and helping with recommendations. The room is simple, island accommodation but the shared common room is very nice with instruments and books. Kitchen was nice to use to make some food if we wanted. Extra fuzzy blankets free to use if you got cold in the night. Check out the stars at night! Also, FREE bike rental. What more could you want? Definitely check out the Co-op store down the street; delicious fresh food after 11am try the taco rice!!! We really loved Iriomote it was so peaceful and special. Our favorite island. Do visit and this hostel will serve you right!!

IF you want to dine together, Write your name up on the whiteboard before 5pm, Just 1000 JPY , Staff will prepare dinner at 8pm . I really feel at home here.

The property is around 18 km from Yaeyama Museum, 23 km from Tamatorizaki Observation Point and less than 1 km from Kabira Bay. The guest house has family rooms. We stayed during the off-season in early September and had the best summer holiday with them. There’s a terrace downstairs with an exceptional view of Kabira, and the facilities were spotless. Most of all, the owner and his family truly made our stay special—they lit up our entire holiday in Kabira. I’ve never met such kind and accommodating people. I’d 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience the local vibe and enjoy snorkeling or diving, as they’re experienced divers themselves.
