The photos don’t do this place justice. The service could not have been any better - all the staff were extremely hospitable and made a fantastic breakfast every morning. Everything from the yoghurt to the cakes, pancakes and egg tagine prepared in their lovely kitchen. The rooms were lovely and we were able to have our clothes washed after a week spent travelling around morocco. The location inside the Medina is ideal, just 5 minutes from the bus station on foot. We did horse riding and surfing and the tours collected us right outside the Medina which was very convenient. Finally, it was very close to what turned out of be our favourite little fish restaurant, le vague bleue, which was also convenient! Thank you Dar Awil, we hope to come back again! In the meantime, we will recommend this lovely spot to anyone we know travelling to beautiful Essaouira!

Every request catered too if it’s possible with them. I was a solo traveller from India that went for the Gnaoua festival and I was lucky to find a last minute reservation here. No matter the wee hours of the morning I came back gentle Saeed was there to open the doors and check if you needed anything. Sweetest Amina in the morning prepared breakfast and got your laundry organised and cleaned the rooms. Meryem the most adorable efficient yet so so warm ran the place with so much joy ! I felt so at home there and truly showered with a lot of love. I wish I had more time to spend there but I was out most of the times. Go here not just for a place to stay but to experience the true nature of the Eassouiaran hospitality. I will definitely be back there.

We arrived way later than we were hoping, but Simon arranged for someone to open the garage and give us the keys without any issues. Breakfast was great and we really enjoyed our time there, it was as peaceful as we wanted.
