I booked only one night and everyone wished to stay more. Having a reception nearby is also helpful.

Rom 3 i bufellesskap is situated in Sogndal. It is set 12 km from Kaupanger Stave Church and features a shared kitchen. Free private parking is available and the guest house also offers bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. I booked last minute for one night coming from Oslo and it was a very smooth stay. Tom was very helpful and accommodating, I felt right at home. The place is across the street from the Sogndal skysstasjon (central bus station). The room was very cozy, I slept like a rock. The place was quiet, there might've been one other guest but I hardly noticed them. Overall, very satisfied with my stay and next time I'm in town, I'm booking here again.

With mountain views, this accommodation offers a terrace. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the homestay's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. The place run by Annette & Ruud is truly fantastic. First and foremost, the cleanliness. It is rare to find a place maintained to such a high standard. Secondly, the hospitality of the owners. The way we were treated and how we felt there was no different than if we were visiting friends or beloved family (the kind you have a very good relationship with, of course). Thirdly, the amenities. We were essentially given a very generously sized apartment, which included a large bedroom, a reasonably sized living room for relaxing or watching TV, and a large bathroom, plus a sizable room for luggage—almost like a walk-in closet. On top of that, we had the option to use the hosts' kitchen. My only regret is that we only spent one night there. One thing I know for sure: if I ever visit Norway again and plan to spend more time in that area, I will 120% choose "Between Fjord og Glacier" again. Oh, and I almost forgot one more important thing: the surroundings. By this, I mean not only the view of the fjord but also the profound peace and quiet, as well as the property itself, which was clearly tended to with great care by the hosts' own hands.

Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri is located in the oldest buildings in the village of Aurland. Situated on the shores of Aurlandsfjord, it offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Guests can also enjoy free WiFi. We stayed in a fisherman's hut, right on the water. It was gorgeous. We even got lucky and were able to see the northern lights over the fjord from our little porch. The restaurant and included breakfast were delicious. We would definitely stay here again.
