Comprising barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, Traditional Newari Homestay is a recently renovated accommodation in Pātan located close to Patan Durbar Square. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Our host worked hard to connect with us, and to make our stay a good one. He had to balance caring for each of the people staying there. And, of course, he has his own family he must not ignore. The breakfasts he makes for us are varied, healthy, simple, but tasty. The location was perfect. We lived in a real neighborhood, which meant the dogs barked, there were sometimes odd neighbor noises, construction here and there, but everything eventually quieted down at night. I didn't fit into the house very well. I am tall and getting older, and I think it's an environment that works for the young and slightly more compact person. But, I still loved it just the same. I'd certainly stay there again if in Patan.

Takes care of anything you need and cooks authentic Nepalese food for dinner every night. He also used to be a trekking guide and has a trekking agency. Was very helpful giving us travel information on Nepal.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Such a cozy, and homely place. I immediately felt safe after meeting the family and their beautiful children. The beds were incredibly comfortable, shower was great and warm, with a clean toilet, the view and location made it a 10, as the bedrooms can look to either the sunrise or sunset. And to top it off, the food was insane - best Nepali veg curry I’ve ever had.

With city views, Laxmi Homestay with main square view is situated in Bhaktapur and has a restaurant and room service. The property has quiet street views and is 200 metres from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 12 km from Patan Durbar Square. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. This homestay is located a few meters away from Durbar Square, and you get a great view of it from the rooftop. It's not a hotel; there are people actually living in the other rooms. The host, Navin, is a very nice guy who really loves what he does, and he will introduce you to his family. If you want, his mom can prepare you traditional Newari meals, and he can also be your personal tour guide, taking you to know the city and the vicinities; he showed me places I would have totally missed if I were on my own. During my stay, I was basically his buddy, met his friends, etc. Overall, the only thing I regret is not being able to stay longer; Navin is the best host ever and he made my time in Bhaktapur so interesting and meaningful.

This place was spectacular! The views, the family was super kind, and hospitality was amazing. The family made me feel right at home! The nature just at your finger tips - monkeys, gorgeous birds, and I had a family of pigeons living with me ❤️ All the meals are made fresh with organic items all coming from their family garden. The surroundings are amazing with a waterfall, hiking trails, suspension bridge, and Nagarkot town! I had such an amazing stay that I signed up to stay one extra day and night, I can't wait to come back here. I definitely suggest this place and was one of my favorite stays in the two months spent in Nepal 🇳🇵 The food here was so amazing that I didn't eat anywhere else! Extremely reasonable prices and so fresh, I'm going to miss this food 😢 I stayed in their newly built tree house, and it was amazing, peaceful, majestic, and just what I needed after two months of Yoga Teacher Training and trekking through the Himalayas. Thank you again for the wonderful stay, and see yall next year!

There is nice view of the stupa from the terrace. The room is kept clean by the housekeeping staff. The prices are definitely unmatchable. Great value for money.

Shine Homestay Famille Francophone - Shine Home and Apartment, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Kathmandu, 2.5 km from Swayambhu, 2.9 km from Kathmandu Durbar Square, as well as 3.6 km from Swayambhunath Temple.
