The pension is located 10 minute drive from the main entrance to the Slovenský raj National Park. There is a train (like those small trains for kids in parks, that runs on the road and has three small cars) that stops right next to the pension and takes passengers to and from the National Park. Gabriella, the owner, is a wonderful person and most helpful. She recommends the most interesting trails in the park, prepares delicious dinners, and helps in any way she can. My room was convenient and had everything I needed. There are tables under a pavilion in the back yard, where one can sit, play, and work.

Το Penzión Šafran Stratená έχει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα και μπαρ, στον προορισμό Stratena. The place itself is really cute, in the middle of Slovensky Raj. The owner is really friendly, and the food portions are very big if you decide to have dinner there. We came back to the place pretty late, they were already closing, but still they opened up the kitchen for us to still make something, which was a very nice suprise and something we really appreciated! The breakfast also had a lot of choice, and was very filling. So a great place to stay!

What makes this stay remarkable is the owners genuine care and attention to guests. His always gracious manner and helpful attitude is amazing, and makes it feel like visiting family without the airing of grievances 😁 1. Location- Tuly hike in and out. The beautiful Slovak Paradise trail system begins at the door of the property. The owner is available to sure the best routes and most beautiful places. No need for wonky trail apps. 2. The spa. The Jack of all trades owner has spent an incredible amount of effort to make the spa and jacuzzi area on the property absolutely amazing. We were amazed when we walked in, honestly superior to many five star resorts we have stayed. 3. The restaurant- While the hours are a little short during the shoulder months, either the chef or, yes, the owner prepares wonderful authentic Slovak food at a great price. The deer tenderloin special was incredible. We will definitely return to this property again. Many thanks for the wonderful stay

We booked two rooms, which both were clean, nice and neatly furnished. The villa provided very convenient parking directly on the property. We appreciated the extra stuff, such as foosball, ping-pong table, nice outdoor dining... The (shared) kitchen contained all necessary utensils, we needed for breakfasts. We really like a big dinning table in front of the kitchen. The surroundings was very quiet, except for one fact that at 6am the bells at the nearby church started chiming for several minutes. However, the windows seem to be made of a sound-proof material, because when we closed them, we barely could hear the bells.

Very nice accommodation in a newly renovated farmhouse. We had an impeccably clean room with a lovely bathroom , as well as a cooking area with a sink, kettle microwave and a hotplate. The village is only a few minutes by car from the Slovensky Raj area and there are a couple of small supermarkets and a restaurant nearby. We'll definitely be back there in future. Thanks.

Lovely flat for a great price! We really appreciated the kitchen equipment and fridge, and the balcony with tables and chairs. The staff were very kind and accommodating! We would definitely stay there again.

Το Penzion u Šimona βρίσκεται στο Vernár, 5 λεπτά με το αυτοκίνητο από το χιονοδρομικό κέντρο Studničky. Παρέχεται δωρεάν Wi-Fi. We loved our stay! It is even better than the pictures! The view from our room was absolutely magical and everything was super clean and well maintained. The owners were lovely and the breakfast was big with hot & cold and savoury & sweet options offered every day. The village is super cute and perfectly located for access to all parts of the Slovak Paradise and the southern parts of the Tatras.

Me and my husband absolutely loved this place. It felt like a home or cabin with the best restaurant in the area. Location couldn't be better, close to water reservoir and hiking trail. The owner was so kind and informative about the area, hikes and so on. Bed was so comfy especially after several hours of incredible hike and my husband even took cold plunge in lake. Food was amazing, traditional Slovak food, made with love, so so tasty. This will be our regular place to stay when we come hike through southern Slovak Paradise National Park.
