First off, we've been travelling for 3 months around SE Asia and this has been our favourite place so far. Bird and his wife are some of the sweetest people we have met. They brought us fruit bowels and delicious taro and Coconut cakes each day we stayed, while also insisting on giving us a lift to the beach or wherever we were going. We hung out in the Reggae bar in the evenings and had some beers with Bird, his wife and other guests while chatting and laughing. Really good fun. The property is also very quiet and peaceful, the bungalows are basic but comfortable and the toilets and showers spotless. We would have loved to stay longer but had to leave the island unfortunately.

They provide a list of recommendations for food and what to do in the area as soon as you arrive. close to the bus station.

I even cancelled my reservation at another property to extend my stay here. Wonderful, friendly staff, very nice small restaurant (serving great breakfast and lunch - and amazing coconut ice cream!) and nicely-tended garden courtyard make this place one not to be missed. For the money, best property on the island. Just know that it is away from the beach, but in a quieter part of the town. And everything is within easy walking distance.

They prepared a nice breakfast for us. The homestay was placed in a small fisherman village far from tourist beaches. Just what we were looking for after being in other too touristic areas.

The best thing about the property though has to be the hosts! What a lovely couple. They were so kind to myself and my partner and made us feel very welcomed and totally at home. We had some cool conversations where one of the hosts demonstrated her impressive English! She also educated us on the 2 different types of mango trees they have on the land and also prepared one of the sweet fruits for us, it was delicious! The husband also makes his own coffee and we were lucky enough to try that too! I believe we tried a medium roast and it did not disappoint. But as a whole, the hosts really made our stay special.

This place is amazing – surrounded by nature, incredibly peaceful at night, and in the morning you wake up to the sound of birds singing. The owners are wonderful, and Sam is especially attentive – always available and happy to help with anything you need. They also have a little shop on-site in case you need anything. Highly recommended!

The bungalow itself is quite basic, but it’s comfy beds in an air conditioned room. The owner was so lovely and accommodating. We had toiletries and water given to us each day. You also get access to sun beds on Charlie beach. A bike rental and taxi service is right next door.

Guests can make use of a garden. incredibly clean, good location, friendly people who seem to live for their little hotel.

The hosts were super friendly and cleaned the room daily, bringing new coffee, water, toilet paper, and towels when needed. The space is very clean and comfortable. It is a short walk to the main area of town and restaurants, and they provided bikes we could use anytime we wanted, which we rode to the beach at least once a day. They even brought us a nice banana split one night as a thank you for staying with them. Excellent place to stay in the beautiful island of Koh Mook.
