We borrowed the bicycles and took the little ferry to the other side of the river and had a very nice ride, we found a nice restaurant as well. Next day we did the floating market tour, I loved we were on a small boat and they did take a nice detour to get to the floating market.

Back at the farmstay, I loved the home-cooked meals prepared by Human and his mother (available for a fee), as well as the freedom to explore the surrounding area by bike at my own pace. Most of all, I appreciated the meaningful conversations with Human. He is warm, thoughtful, and deeply knowledgeable about the region. The room and bathroom are rustic and simple, but clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need. There’s no AC as stated in the listing, but I found the fans more than sufficient. I highly recommend Mekong Farmstay to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful, and welcoming experience in the Mekong Delta.

It’s impossible to capture everything in words; this could easily be an entire chapter in our travel books. We are simply grateful to her, and we can’t forget her little neighbors, who treated us to a fantastic Dragon Dance performance—it was so joyful and fun!
