We arrived early in the hostel ( around 9) we had a long nightbus and were very tired, the owner invited us to relax in the hamacs. A half houre later he told us he had a room free for us to sleep a bit, even when the check in was at 14h. He even gave us an upgraded room. This was excepcional. The hostel was soo beautifull full with exotic plants and orange tree. We could relax in the pool. The village was extraordinarly beautiful. Some say the most beautifull in Colombia, the experience was perfect. Thank you to Tinto hostal and its staff.

Best hostel we've stayed in so far in South America. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful with organising daily activities. The atmosphere in the hostel is also great for meeting other travellers. The pool is a great feature after a day of activities and location is perfect in the town. The breakfast options are also very good. Would highly recommend staying here for other travellers.

The hostel provides a great introduction to San Gil on arrival. They helped us book various excursions, provided recommendations for restaurants and provided space for us to hand-wash our laundry. When you book with the hostel and the weather conditions cancel the activity, the hostel can very easily switch to another activity so you don't lose the day. There were even times that the staff moved our hanging laundry into the shade when it started raining. I would recommend Macondo hostel to anyone that is coming to San Gil for some adventure! P.s. They have hot water!

Beautiful place and great atmosphere thanks to lovely staff. The restaurant food was good and there are a couple of other options for food nearby. It was pretty quiet, not many other guests, but this was welcome to unwind after a day of climbing
