The staff is extremely helpful and our trip to Costa Rica started well thanks to them. The house is great, the kitchen is well organised, the bathroom is efficient. They offer a very friendly and affordable airport transfer, we highly recommand to take advantage of it especially since taxi drivers in San José airport are not reliable and rarely offer a fair rate.

The owner was so accommodating and stayed up after hours when I arrived at nearly 11 pm, and she booked a taxi and was up and making sure we got off to the airport at 4 am. She made me a hot tea at check-in in and the room had a privacy divider between me and the other beds in the room, and a fan was provided.

Very clean, ample room with sockets near bed. Lifts to every floor. Restaurant and bar, which was super on the top floor with spectacular views. There are free shuttles to the airport, and on time. Also when the shuttle doesn’t run from midday, the TUASA bus station is within minutes walk and it will stop at the airport for couple dollars.

Casa Pandora Hostel Women Only is situated in San José, within 7.5 km of Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica and 10 km of Parque Diversiones.

I highly recommend this hostel! I stayed here three different times for a night, and every time it felt so welcoming – just like home. Everything is very clean, the beds are comfortable, the showers are hot, and there’s even a TV with Disney+/Netflix/Prime… just perfect! The place is designed with so many thoughtful details: a fully equipped kitchen, hair dryers, shower products, extra blankets if needed… you really feel that everything has been thought of for the guests’ comfort. The staff has been incredibly kind and helpful – they even let me leave some of my belongings a couple of times, always with such friendliness and quick responses. The automated check-in system makes everything super easy as well. For me, it’s the perfect place to stay for a night or two before exploring the rest of Costa Rica. A huge thank you to the whole team 🌸

The owners were great people and always there. They were ready to help you with anything you needed and the communication was excellent. The facilities were the same quality. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The dorm was very clean, as was the entire place, the beds were made every day and the showers cleaned the same. Each bed had a curtain which provided a lot of privacy. Overal a great place to stay and the location was excellent as well.

The stuff is so friendly, breakfast is great, beautiful green oasis in a loud and chaotic city, 10 mins walk from the airport. I will be back again & felt so safe and sound as a solo travelling woman. Good place to meet other travelers, too.
