Everything was lovely. Very kind and attentive staff. Warm interior and large, relaxing lounge area. They also have a wonderful cafe next doors that I recommend. Chureito pagoda is a 20 min walk from the property. The popular fujiyoshinoda view with mt fuji is right outside the doorstep. Would stay again. Thank you :)

The atmosphere is so great, everything made me felt like home even i was far way from hotel. The share area and bathroom are so clean. The view from my room was even stunning- Mt Fuji😁 Boss was so nice- allowed us for early checking in after coming back from hiking and no extra charge for luggage storage. Would recommend for people who plans for hiking but likes to stay in a more quiet place (two stations away from Kawaguchiko). Remember to spend little for the Mt Fuji view at the train station, it was breath-taking!

The hostess was a very nice Japanese lady with excellent English. She even offered us free breakfast, which she made herself and was delicious. The rooms were in Japanese style, with probably one of the most comfy beds we ever slept in. The super clean toilet and bathroom were shared, but since there are only a few rooms, it was no issue for us. The internet speed was excellent.

We had such a great stay at Backpacker’s House Kamome! We were warmly welcomed by our host who was incredibly kind, always smiling, and really made us feel at home for a few days. As a backpacker herself, she knows exactly what travelers need — the dorm was comfy and really well thought-out, with little things like a multi-port USB adapter, hangers, and cleaning supplies. Plus, she’s always up for a chat, which made the experience even nicer. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the train station, but perfectly located just one minute from Sengen Shrine and the starting point of the Mt. Fuji trail from point zero.

This is so much more than a hostel, it’s so clean and comfortable and the facilities are brilliant. Our host was so helpful and even picked us up and dropped us off to the station. There are amazing Fuji views from the shared area and lots of places within walking distance to explore. We loved everything about our stay here!

A fantastic chill hostel. It has a great chilled social atmosphere. The owners are amazing and very friendly. They invited us to a local festival while I was there. I would highly recommend staying here. There are also free bikes and dormitories are spacious and comfortable. Thanks a million!

Everything! Clean rooms, lovely communal areas both downstairs and on the roof terrace. Free snacks. We’re able to leave our luggage. Clean bathrooms. Comfy beds. The entire place had an amazing calm relaxing atmosphere. Finally, the kindest host with a very cute daughter. The host went out of his way to help us and welcome us. One of our favourite places we have stayed in our 6 months of travelling Asia.

Very clean and very new room. Good facilities and appliances. Very close to a big supermarket, convienient location.
