⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable Stay at Koksay Hotel – Great Value We had a very pleasant stay at Koksay Hotel in Almaty. The hotel is located a bit outside the busy city center, which makes it peaceful and quiet — perfect for relaxing after a long day. Even though it’s not in the middle of the city, getting around is very easy with Yandex taxi, which is fast and affordable in Almaty. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with all the essentials we needed for a good stay. The bed was cozy, the bathroom was spotless, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Everything was well-maintained, showing the hotel’s commitment to quality and guest comfort. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. Their hospitality made us feel welcome and cared for during our time here. While the hotel does not serve breakfast, there are small shops and cafes nearby, and with Yandex rides being so convenient, finding great food in the city was never a problem. Overall, Koksay Hotel offers great value for money — clean rooms, friendly service, and a peaceful location with easy transport access. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return when visiting Almaty again.

My Hostel Almaty is my go-to hostel in Almaty! I love this place. It's near Dostyk Plaza and the bus lines, convenient for taxis to find, and has clean, fantastic facilities and wonderful staff. I highly recommend this hostel.

I’m sorry I don’t remember the name of the reception worker - he was quite young and worked on the night of the 17th and the night of the 21st. He was amazing at talking to the guests, including everyone and thanks to him I learned how to play mafia (in Russian and English). The rooms are very comfortable, clean and the place has all of the needed facilities. Really enjoyed my stay. The location might look a bit far but it’s right next to the bus stop and the bus takes you to the centre within 20-40mins (depending on the traffic and where you need to go).

Bathroom and toilets were always maintained well throughout the day, functional kitchen and comfortable dining and living area. Dorm beds were clean and neat as well! I stayed at the same place again when I came back to the city. Shoutouts to Rose who started working there and keeping the space super tidy. Reception staff was kind enough to let me check out a bit late! Few steps away from the busstops, well connected to the rest of the city.

    Very easy going and budget-friendly. We came back to the same hostel after a 2-day trip to Charyn canyon and Kolsay lakes. Some other travellers we met in the trip stayed also at the same hostel. So all in all it was nice for the atmosphere and the people for good talking and sharing experiences and traveling tips.
