Gihan (the hostel owner) is one of the best guys we met in Sri Lanka! Very hospitable, helpful, friendly and honest. He loves his job, it's his passion. Be sure to book a room in his hostel, you won't regret it. He will help you with anything, give you good tips, he'll tell you what prices are appropriate so that you do not get cheated out of money by taxi drivers, etc. He really is a gem ;-)

Just how great it was for workationing with ample spots in the premises to sit, chill, hangout, work, play games. Mr Dayan, the host, is a very kind and generous person who takes great care of the guests. They offer free breakfast as well as dinner!!! The meals are taken as a community in big tables. I met awesome people and formed friendships I’ll cherish. I just wanted to keep extending the stay.

We had an amazing experience staying at Guesthouse 164 Boutique Hotel! We spent one nights there and also enjoyed both lunch and breakfast at the hotel — The place is , peaceful, and calm There’s a truly magical, chill vibe with a beautiful view of Ella. A special mention to Lahiro, the owner — such a kind and welcoming person who really made our stay feel extra special. Highly recommend this gem if you’re visiting Ella!

The people that run the hostel are very kind and they make sure that you are comfortable. The hostel is very nice, GREAT bed and hot shower! I would definately reccomend it if you are looking for somewhere chill to rest
