Great location, very central and felt safe. Staff were really kind- they let us crash out in a common area when we arrived at 5am and swapped out breakfasts around so that we could have one that day because we were going to miss one when we left on another early bus at the end of our stay. Laundry was super fast and cheap. Breakfast was the best I have had in Peru. The rooftop area has a cafe (a good one) but no obligation to buy anything if you just want to hang out. They sell beer and water at a good price at the front desk. Shower was HOT in the evening and morning. Beautiful old building. Lots of places to hang our stuff.

The building is just beautiful, giving you a glimpse into the type of the residential constructions that dot the historical center of Arequipa. The inner courtyards connected by hallways, the stairs that take you to terraces from which you have a view of the city and the impressive colonial architecture were the highlights of our stay. The reception staff was always very friendly and helpful.

Really nice staff and a great location. We planned our trip to Colca Canyon with them and it was very easy and the owner was really helpful with all the details - they even made sure they were awake at 3.30am in case we had any problems with the bus picking us up. Such a good atmosphere - really fun bar and a great Halloween party! There is also a simple but nice breakfast on the lovely roof terrace in the mornings and the location is really close to central Arequipa. The staff really made us feel welcome and took us out on the town for a great night. Can’t recommended this place enough!

first of all the host , guy was AWESOME. we travel around for years and never met so friendly and helpful man like him. Location of the hostel - superb , just 2 minutes to the main square .

The breakfast was delicious with fresh papaya, orange or pineapple juice, fresh fruit, eggs, sausages, artisanal bread, tomatoes, cheese, ham, olives, cake, cereal, yogourt, butter, jam, coffee and tea. The king suite on the third floor had a great view on the Misti Volcano, was spacious, clean and warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and a 6 minute walk to a main lively central street with restaurants, shops, malls and street food vendors.

    Peruvians are very nice people but Hilda is simply the best. With a big smile, always willing to help. Hostel in a great location, close to an excellent restauracja , with the possibility of leaving your luggage during trekking in the canyon, with a wide range of excursions and the possibility of doing laundry. If you don't need the standard of a top hotel, this is the place for you. Muchos gracias Hilda!
