There was nothing not to like about this amazing hostel. Beautiful old building and a really central location in the old town of Valenca. The beds all had privacy curtains, lights and a socket for charging your phone. Lockers were provided and the kitchen was well equiped.

The pool!!! Oh my gosh. It’s cold- fact- but it felt like heaven on my legs and ankles and later hopping into a hot shower with the largest, plushest towels provided, a stove to cook with pots and pans galore, and then the softest blanket to snuggle up in… with free locks on lockers and the kindest host imaginable… one of my favorite stops on the Camino.

Oh my, this place was amazing. We were four Camino walkers. The previous night, we had ended up in what was supposed to be a private and exclusive albergue — which turned out to have bed bugs. On the way to this albergue, we were literally praying that this place would be different. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very kind staff member who explained everything and made us feel completely at home. We decided to give this place a chance to prove itself — and it absolutely did. It’s a very small and private albergue, with just 6 beds for pilgrims and 1 tent. There was one bathroom for 7 people, which might be an issue for some, but we managed to coordinate everything just fine. The place has a beautiful garden and terrace — perfect for relaxing in the evening after a long walk. There’s a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, great for cooking and having conversations. A washing machine is also available. The beds were clean and bug-free — hallelujah! The owners are absolutely wonderful, very helpful, and truly make you feel at home. The whole place felt exclusive in the best way. Highly, highly recommended!
