The hostel has such a perfect location! Not only is it in the middle of the walk of fame, it’s also close to a lot of other things - such as Universal Studios, Warner Bros, The Grove, museums downtown, etc. I thought the location would make it quite noisy, but it was surprisingly silent (at least from my dorm)! The employees are also super friendly, and they are always there to assist you! I also like that the rooms/dorms have a changing room! It came in more handy than I thought it would.

The staff was amazing! Heather went out of her way to recommend local food. Gus was great regarding local attractions. I am already planning my next visit. The property is located right on the boardwalk. A quick trip on the 3 and 33 from LAX! This was my first stay at a hostel and I will definitely try other Samesun locations in the future.

Stayed here recently and was pleasantly surprised — the room was clean and cosy, with everything I needed. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Beds were comfortable, and the location made it easy to get around. Solid option — would recommend.

    I lived in the 4 bed female dormitory, it was comfortable and big. Good for cheap stay in a prime location. Also, they let me store my luggage for free which was great.

    This is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed. It's so clean, friendly and cosy and you can tell the staff take great pride in it. If you're looking for a quiet place in a great location look no further. I'd like to thank Pedro, Bea and all the staff who made my stay so memorable. Everyone was so friendly, cheerful and always willing to help. They made my stay so enjoyable and I can't thank them enough. Already looking forward to my next stay! :-)

    Amazing hostel in great location with beach in walking distance and also in a great cheap eat and drink out location with nice bars and restaurants and liquor stores everyone you need to make your stay enjoyable and saving money And great jacuzzi on rooftop with nice sunset

    Great location, spacious room and big lockers, spacious bathroom and pretty clean, good breakfast, nice common areas, a lot of activities (I didn't participate but it is a nice option especially when travelling solo). They even provided towels (which is not often the case in hostels). With the reception and the key cards it also felt very safe!

    Great to find Hummingbirds just up the road. Friendly helpful staff in great location. Lots to do and after catching a number 1 bus up to the Metro you can get anywhere real quick and travel all day with a 5dollar capped Tap bus and train card, magic....Belles bar just opposite Samesun hostel is nice safe bar...
