The property is very clean, happening and tidy. The lavatories and bathrooms are very well maintained. The beds are clean and spacious. Loved my stay. The beer street was just in the next alley the train street was On walking distance too.

The location is superb! Not only is it close to popular landmarks like Train street, temple of literature and the lake, it is situated on a quiet walking Street so you can enjoy the patio or balconies. It is very peaceful and the walking Street is a food street full of eateries and coffee shops including a Michelin recommendation. The hostel is modern and newly built, so every insight for the 2025 traveller is considered. Very clean and comfy. The key wristbands that open your dorm room and locker make accessing and not losing your key so convenient!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel for three nights, and I can't speak highly enough of the owner's incredible hospitality. He was so generous that he only charged me for two nights. Before I checked out, he even treated me to a beer and some noodles, which was such a kind and unexpected gesture. On top of all that, he also kindly kept some of my belongings safe for me. I couldn't recommend this place more highly, it's a wonderful place to stay in Hanoi, and I would absolutely stay here again should I return to the city in future. Communication was great both before and after arrival. The owners work really hard to make this a great place to stay, and it seems they've thought of everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Each day you are given two bottles of water, which is super useful, especially when you get back and curse yourself that you forgot to pick any up, and there they are waiting for you outside your door. There are sweet small details like cotton buds and tissues. A choice of air conditioning or fan. And a bug zapper in the room, which is great if mosquitoes like to feast on you as much as they do me! The bed was very comfortable, and everywhere spotlessly clean. As other reviews mention, they literally clean the shared bathroom immediately after it has been used! One evening I came back so tired I hadn't managed to feed myself, and they even gave me a few snacks to see me through until the morning. Although they are working long hours, they are always incredibly friendly and smiley. It's so nice to see them when you leave for your day or return. The location is great - walking distance to all the main tourist areas of Hanoi, in a bustling local area just north of the Old Quarter. Although busy outside on the street, the fact it is down a little alleyway means that it is very peaceful and you hear nothing from outside. Because it is a (lovely) older building, you may hear some noises from other guests moving around inside the building, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper and easily disturbed. This is just the nature of such a property; the family themselves are remarkably considerate and quiet!

Yes, it needs painting, there is mold. I had a room with a balcony, which was spacious, clean and had the best bed in Vietnam. Clean towels, close to everything, I recommend!

Nice rooms with comfortable beds. Certainly the best shower I’ve had on that travel. Enjoyed the hot water and powerful showerhead. The staff was unbelievable helpful and friendly I dropped my wallet in the taxi, thanks to their great help I got it back.
