AustriaGreat hostel in the heart of Maboneng! I stayed there for two nights in a private room in May 2024 and very much enjoyed the hostel's lively atmosphere. Wonderful staff, clean facilities, lovely balcony, buzzing hostel bar/restaurant. Hands down, it is not the best area in JB, but I generally felt safe. The hostel offered several tours and activities for travellers to connect. If you are on a budget and can sleep trough the blasting music from the neighboring bars, stay there!
