I have stayed in hundreds of backpacker's lodges around the world, but this one is the best. The location is unrivaled - you are surrounded by stunning nature. There are milkwood trees that are hundreds of years old and many beautiful birds have chosen this part of the indigenous forest as their home. The staff are truly wonderful and make everyone feel like family. The bar often has live musicians and the accommodation building is a 150 year old Victorian gem. There are also private chalets with en suite bathrooms. There is a spectacular national park within walking distance and kayaks can be rented to explore the nearby river. This place has it all, but the unique atmosphere is why I'll definitely be back.

This was so nice. It felt you could really get out of it what you wanted. If you wanted to engage with the staff and people there you could but you could also retreat privately. We staid in one of their private huts. The views were STUNNING for the sunset. The pizza was also very good.
