There's a lot of information available about all the things that can be done closeby.

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. It offers a park with a pool, free WiFi and a limited number of free parking spaces. Every thing. From staff to location to clean place it was very good. If I ever go back to Lugano I will go back there again

Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore. The restaurant serves Swiss and Mediterranean cuisine and packed lunches can be provided. i had to check in late due to a late night train, but the staffs were super helpful in ensuring that i manage to check in by myself. got a shared dorm all by myself and i thought the staffs were very considerate because i was pretty worried that i would wake the roommate during late night if i had one.
