A wonderfully cozy space with both indoor and outdoor common areas perfect for relaxing and socializing. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming and the staff are so helpful and friendly. The hostel is conveniently located near the airport and just a short tuk-tuk ride from town. I really appreciated Jonathan’s efforts to use the hostel as a platform to provide opportunities and education for locals while fostering a community of musically cultured (no reggaeton here!) and environmentally conscious individuals.

This is a phenomenal hostel for anyone making a trip to the Amazons! Not only is the hostel itself super nice and the staff amazing, but they also offer really great tours (1-4 days). The staff have a ton of local connections and the tours that they offer are really amazing.

Staff is super friendly, very cool vibes. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean. They offer jungle & river tours, which I highly recommend since they have a great price-quality ratio.

This is an absolutely amazing place to stay and Andres and his family are the nicest people ever! They welcome you with fresh juice after your jungle walks and always ofger some cold water to refill your bottle.
I booked one night, ended up extending my stay and I really want to go back there soon! The room is simple but really comfortable. Mosquito net is well tucked under the mattress so you don’t need to worry about any bugs. Food is absolutely delicious and portions are big (I don’t eat meat and the variety of plates was amazing). There is a really good wifi (in the morning from 7 am until mid-day I think, and in the evening from 5 pm until 10 pm - electricity runs at the same schedule).
I LOVED the day jungle walk with Carlos and all the conversations with Andres’s dad. I also did a night walk and basket weaving workshop - both of them were really interesting.
Staying with a local family is such a nice way to visit Amazonas and explore the jungle! You can learn a lot and above all - you are getting your info from people who have grown up in the forest and know everything about it. It’s also nice to know that your money stays directly in the community.
To get there you can either take a boat from Puerto Nariño to Bocas de Amacayacu (25 000 cop) or take a boat from Leticia and get off at Bocas. Then Andres can pick you up in his boat and take you up the river to San Martin community (35 000 cop one way). Don’t stress about the return trip - they will help you making a reservation for a Leticia bound boat.
Everything is cash only and all the walks and workshops are 60-80 000 cop each.
You can also rent rubber boots here (I paid 10 000 cop for my entire stay).
You need to pay 10 000 cop for entering the community.
There is a little shop just in front of the hostel.

The spot is just amazing. The family is kind and do everything to make your stay comfortable. I was supposed to stay for a single night but the hostel suggested a tour with a guide, Daniel, a citizen of the San Pedro community. I spent 2 nights in the forest and one in his community. One of the best experiences I had. Thanks a lot to the volunteers who were really helpful. Thanks to all the team.

The hostel isn't big, it's very familiar, the kitchen is big enough and has everything you need. The Backyard is just amazing, there are hammocks, places to chill and there is a small bar in the evening. The mattresses are futons, which I found amazing and the staff including the owner made me feel like home immediately.
