The hostess Yockgen (Yocky) gave us a warm welcome and we felt immediately at ease. The lodge is in a beautiful garden with hummingbirds and lots of other birds. Yocky provided transport to the national park and the hot springs and even to the bus. The food is excellent and the pasta tasted like a pasta should taste when you eat pasta in Italy! I had some problems with mosquito bites and Yocky’s mother Rosa provided some homemade natural repellent and even some natural medicine for the stomach. We had a wonderful time there and even wanted to stay longer, but that was not possible unfortunately. Thank you Yocky and Rosa for making us feel at home.

Really, really nice hostel! Very laid back, really nice facilities (especially the kitchen) and super friendly hosts. 30 seconds to the beach and a couple of minutes walk to some really nice coffee shops, food outlets, bars. I booked one night, arrived and immediately extended for another! Would definitely stay again!

Couple in our 40's. We stayed at La Botella de Leche for almost 3 weeks, Oct. 2024. The staff were amazing. It is well cleaned. Near a grocery and pharmacy. A very short walk to the beach. Loved everything about it. Would highly recommend.

The staff was absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful, they literally created a magic atmosphere in this place, they made my stay magic. I stayed almost a week instead of a single night! Very clean place, good facilities and the kitchen is complete. There’s free coffee in the morning.

Great location -- center of town, but on a quiet part of the street. The best surf lessons with Mattia, the in-house instructor, for a very fair rate. And they helped organize a wonderful turtle outing where we got to see a green pacific turtle laying her eggs on the beach.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Luis is amazing. He has a generous and kind soul. The hostel was very sociable and there was a very nice sharing dynamic. We cooked a lot of meals all together. There was a lot of spices to choose from as well as cooking oil which was very nice as most costa rica hostels dont offer this. The small common areas make it super propice to socialize with people. Nice clothing line to hang clothes. I felt like at home.

I was not expecting to have AC in a hostel which was huge! Also the TV was connected to netflix so i was able to enjoy movies in my own language.
