Το Kashta Nubian Guest Houst είναι στο Ασουάν και έχει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα καθώς και δωρεάν WiFi σε όλους τους χώρους του καταλύματος. The rooms are very unique with domed ceilings, the showers are hot (which has been hard to find on our trip), and Omar is a very communicative host. Omar is also a great cook and eating breakfast and an extra dinner at the guesthouse was great. The beds are also comfortable and rooms cool. While the guesthouse is on an island, the ferry only costs 10 EGP / person (December 2024) and leaves often. Then it’s a few minute walk to the guesthouse, really simple and easy.

Ghandi is an amazing host! He will explain everything about Aswan and will give you tips about where to eat, where to go, activities possible in the city. I really liked the bibe of the place, very friendly with a great common area and rooftop! The hostel is just in front of Nile river and you can rent Kayaks!

The dorms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Each bed had its own power socket, light, and regular sized locker for bags. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, big shoutout to Jimmy and Hassan for making my stay amazing by going with me to the market, showing me around, helping me with tours, and even getting me a last-minute bus ticket. They were easy to chat and hang out with. I had a great stay I’ll always remember. Thanks guys!

Amazing traditional house with lovely landlords. We received a basket of fruits upon arrival and the breakfast was always ready, warm and very delicious! Private bathroom, kitchen with bottled water, coffee and tea at our disposal. The rooms are spacious and cozy. I recommend the place for sure!

Το Heissa Hostel βρίσκεται στον προορισμό Ασουάν. Το κατάλυμα παρέχει νυχτερινή διασκέδαση και κοινόχρηστη κουζίνα. Το Heissa Hostel προσφέρει ηλιόλουστη βεράντα. This is a real gem of a hostel - the position outweighs everything else. Superb location and so lovely to be somewhere so beautiful and peaceful and to travel everywhere very cheaply by boat. The manager Rehab speaks fantastic English and is lovely and incredibly helpful. The other Nubian staff are also lovely. Don’t be put off by the basic shower - it’s hot with a great jet. Yousef the boat driver/helm is a cutie. Breakfast was good but no tea or coffee offered. Evening meal was simple and could be improved but it didn’t matter due to the location - the restaurant on the neighbouring island opposite the temple was great but try to avoid 8-9pm as that’s when the temple light show is on if you want a peaceful meal. Abu Simbel day trip was worth the drive. Visit Elephantine Island from Aswan and wander to the Green of the other side through the streets of the village - real rural Nubian life and well worth it. Also take a Felucca trip (about £5 or 200el per hour). Worth seeing the soul/market for the spice shops, real life and felafel making. Just a gem of a tranquil place to stay!
