One of the highlights was the dorm room—it was spacious, well-lit, and the beds were super comfortable, offering a great night's sleep. The room was also kept very clean, and there were lockers for securing valuables. It was a perfect environment for relaxing after a day of exploring. I would definitely recommend Hills tale for anyone looking for a fun, social experience on a budget. I’d happily stay here again.

As my first visit to India, I arrived at CCU airport in the middle of a winter night. The manager, Ram, was kind enough to wait for me at the arrival hall and pick me up. The awesome Chai tea for breakfast everyday is really great! Couldn’t have enough of the chai every morning because it’s really good as its made fresh at home. The property is also close to the metro (10 mins walk) which is quite new and it brings you right to Kolkata downtown and other major railway stations (Saeldah & Howrah), and the best part is it only cost 20 rupees. It’s a much cheaper and safer way to travel in Kolkata in my opinion, just don’t use the metro during rush hour and it will be a more pleasant experience than the metros in NYC. The property is also quite modern, with a dedicated ‘tech room’ with computer desks designed perfectly for digital nomads or other professionals alike. I was put into a 6 bed room instead of a 8 bed dorm which I paid for, so it’s a free upgrade! Many washrooms with great water pressures.

The room is spacious and has a cosy feel thanks to the bookshelf and "green room" . I loved hearing the prayer calls from the nearby mosque, too. I'll stay there again on my next visit for sure!
