The guesthouse was lovely, very warm and cozy and we loved the traditional style and decoration. Very clean and comfortable. We could cook dinner at the shared kitchen which was well equipped. We wish we could stay longer, I definitely suggest it to anyone.

Bed linen and towels are included. very clean, kitchen is perfectly equipped, the bathrooms are clean, the water is good. and also the little town is so picturesque! i don’t see any problem in picking up the key in the hotel nearby.

Located in Seyðisfjörður, 4.1 km from Gufufoss, Hafaldan HI Hostel - Harbour Building provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and barbecue facilities. Guests can enjoy mountain views. The host was very pleasant and gave me a lift to the correct building after discovering I was in the wrong one ! I thought that, due a few art students floating around (they were there for a residency) that it was open, and simply not fully in gear yet because it was the very start of the season... I got to the building I was actually supposed to be in and found that that very much wasn't the case! Well stocked facilities, like milk frothers, and if you had a bit of change, use of a coffee machine, plenty of cutlery, with books, jenga and chess, and lots of table space too. The view was gorgeous. I couldn't stop staring out the window in disbelief. The room had its own sink, which was very nice! I had a lovely stay :)
