This is on of the most special places I have ever stayed at, and hands down the best “hostel”. It is much more of a collaborative social space where likeminded people share their time. It was so chilled and you can tell that Linda and Federico have poured their hearts and personalities into the entire property. Everywhere is beautiful and clean, with spaces to gather and also spend time in solace. I can’t wait to return!

Once a 15th-century Franciscan monastery, Chiostro Delle Monache is just outside Volterra's Etruscan walls, next to the Presidio Ospedaliero Santa Maria Maddalena hospital. Very clean in an exceptional location at an exceptionally good price!

This was one of my favorite places that I stayed at while in Italy. I didn’t catch the lady’s name, but she was super sweet. We had such a nice conversation about the life in Italy. I would recommend going in the off-season for some peace and quiet. I thought I was going to be the only one staying there at first, but I had a couple nice roommates join me.
