It’s only 15 minutes from Hiroshima Shrine, and from there another 15 minutes to the memorial. There is also a direct bus to the center if you don’t want to walk. The family running the hostel is very friendly, and it’s just a 1-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, which was very convenient for drinks and snacks. There’s also a larger supermarket about 3 minutes away with really good sushi boxes.

Popular points of interest near the hostel include Myoei-ji Temple, Hiroshima City Minami Ward Community Cultural Center and Chosho-in Temple. The nearest airport is Iwakuni Kintaikyo Airport, 44 km from WeBase Hiroshima. The bed was huge, the biggest one I have seen in Japan so far. Rooms are amall but cozy and clean. The lounge sownstairs is awesome, location is very convenient and the staff is nice and helpful. I would stay again.

Hostel Mallika features free WiFi throughout the property. Great location, in the middle of everything, great service, you can leave your baggage there before check in - although there was nobody at the reception when we arrived and we didnt know the code but someone leaving the building opened the door for us. The bed was a bit flat, like there was mattress but very thin with a hollow part in the middle. Place was very quiet and clean, we got slippers and towels.

The 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. I enjoyed the reception and welcome at check in. The place is an old traditional Japanese place, but it’s been kept very nice and clean and the facilities like bathrooms are all renovated. There is a very nice lounge and kitchen. There are tea and coffee, self service. It’s almost in front of the ferry port, and in walking distance (~10 minutes) to Kousanji (temple) and the hill of hope.

Located in the centre of Hiroshima, RED HELMET House & Sports Bar Hiroshima is situated less than 1 km from Myoei-ji Temple and a 11-minute walk from Hiroshima Station. With a bar, the 2-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. Private parking is available on site. The place is greatly located, it has a big common area and a complete kitchen within the same floor of the room. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the bed comfortable. The best of Red Helmet is the staff. They gave me a warm welcome; received a package for me and gave it to me when checking in; and I forgot something at the hotel and they went above and beyond to send it over. I would definitely go back to Red Helmet and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Hiroshima!
