Piece Hostel Sanjo offers private and dormitory rooms in the heart of Kyoto. Great place! The staff were exceptional too. I would definitely go again and have already advised a friend to book there for her next trip to Japan.

Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. The best hostel I stayed! The staff amazing and everyone were very friendly! They organize games nights and even had a Christmas party 🎄🎅🏽 There is a lot of information provided on the walls (like markets date and location, and recommendations) Super clean, comfortable and good value for money. I took a single room which had a sink which made getting ready so easy. The showers are on the first floor, and the towels are just next to them so you could take as many as you needed. The location- just next to Kyoto station, you can easily get there and get everywhere you need to.

A 5-minute walk from Higashiyama Subway Station, Guest House Ga-Jyun features free Wi-Fi at the entire property. The wooden terrace has chairs overlooking the garden. We are small house with 5 rooms. I stayed here 13 nights, and I will definitely come back if visiting Kyoto. Some highlights were: Kind and caring staff Nice breakfast (I was too well-fed) Everything is very organised (and systematised) The cozy atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house Jiro the Shiba Inu

Friendly staff, cool lounge area, comfortable beds--overall a very unique property and a great stay! The dorm style rooms are not very private and there isn't much soundproofing between the rooms, but this was not a problem for me. Wonderful experience!

Loved the homie feel of this hostel. Very clean, modern and partical. Shin was an exceptional host, always available, explained everything very well and great English communication. I forgot my jewelry at the hostel and he went out of his way to drop it off to me before I left Kyoto. I would love to stay here again in the future and will be recommending it to friends and family. Perfect for solo travellers.

This hostel is one of the best I have ever stayed at! The beds were comfortable and quite private/spacious for a dorm room. The location was perfect for exploring Kyoto and all facilities were very clean. The staff were friendly, helpful, and could speak English well. The only downside I had was that I wish there was better ventilation in the rooms as it got quite smelly overnight with all the travellers, but that happens in all hostels!
