It was an excellent place to stay. We really liked the atmosphere of the hostel, it is very nice, and calm. Unfortunately we couldn't try the cafeteria but anything we we used was perfect and we had no trouble at all. We got more than I actually expected, but really everything just looks like the pictures.

Located around 23 km from Shimizu Station, the hostel is also 45 km away from Fuji-Hakone-Izu-kokuritsu-kōen. The property is allergy-free and is set 49 km from Mount Daruma. What the town lacks in attractions, the hostel itself compensated in facilities (1 person onsen, communal area with a relaxing vibe and the option to buy drinks, clean sleeping area etc) & great services. Also it's really close from Shin-Fuji station, as well as a few shops and places to eat. The owner/person working at reception is a really cool guy who knows English that recommended some great places to take photos of Mount Fuji (ありがとうございます). Overall great price-value accommodation.

Fujiyoshida
Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel is situated in Fujiyoshida, within 7.8 km of Lake Kawaguchi and 25 km of Mount Fuji. The 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 3.5 km from Fuji-Q Highland. It's a beautiful guesthouse, more like a cozy home than a hostel in terms of atmosphere, so it may not be the best option for solo travelers looking to socialize. The staff was friendly, and everything was in good order. There is a microwave and hot water, which was convenient. The location is also good. However, it was cold inside—it actually felt even colder than outside. There is an air conditioner, but I don’t like the fan-type heater; it just doesn’t work well for me. Still, I recommend the place overall

Best hostel ever.
A pleasant and welcoming 'home-style' hostel with good shared facilities. Very close to the train/bus station. A good budget option in a popular, relatively-expensive tourist town. Felt quite at home there and actually extended our stay by 2 days
friendly staff, very spacious room, handy location, just across the bus/train station. clean and tidy, firm mattress, heaty toilet cover. restaurants and shops just around the corner (20 metres walk). the staff recommended the shop next door for luggage storage which was safe and cheap.
Fantastic hostel, with a great staff. Clean , great location and plenty of amenities, along with a ambience that matches the majestic Mt. Fuji
Clean and cheap. Great location.
Clean, tidy affordable hostel with a mix of Japanese and western style. Great location close to Fuji Station and nearby convenience stores, shops, restaurants and bars.
One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.
Best Hostel in Japan so far. Very comfy bed , big room, so there is enough space for backpacks and suitcase, everything is very clean , good WiFi , very close to the Bus Station , super lovely owner with very good english skills!! Bathroom alwas always super clean and the small kitchen is perfect. It's a super cozy Hostel. I definitely recommend it!!
Host is helpful and friendly . The condition of the house is not ideal. Very run down and smelly room and smelly toilet. Typical old building smell. Price is not exactly cheap too. Feels like a hostel but not price at a backpackers price
