K's house hostels have been exceptionally incredible through my travels in Japan. This one being the best I've had the pleasure of staying in. The cleanliness is equivalent to some of the fanciest hotels out there, I can't overstate how comfy the common areas and rooms are. The onsen is great, although not very large. I picked the cheapest room option, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a massive room with wall sized view right into the forest, comfortable bunk beds with excellent ventilation.

Just a short walk from the station, this traditional Japanese guesthouse has everything you could possibly need from comfy beds to clean bathrooms. The owner was really hospitable, friendly, and always considerate of his guests and we had many good and informative conversations together. This was one of the best guesthouses I’ve been to in Japan, and I can’t wait to visit it once more.

Lovely homestay, feels very “homey” and comfortable, a short walk from the train station, and a short train to all the excursions!

I had a great time here! My experience was perhaps a bit unique as I was the only person in the guest house for the duration of my stay. The shared areas are kept super clean and there’s a nice view from the terrace at the shared lounge. It’s a good base to come back to after a day of wandering about mountains. The dormitory beds are surprisingly spacious, cute store/cafe on the ground floor. The staff was kind enough to deal with my broken Japanese 🖤 Thank you, I will surely come back in the future!

Beautiful experience in this hostel located in the heart of Nikko. Room very clean and confortable like also the bathroom. The room are mixed and you can familiarized with people of every country. It's present a kitchen and a dining room. You can leave the luggage to the reception before and after the check in-out The World Heritage Shrines, Temple and Shinkyo Bridge are reachable around 20 minutes walking Train and bus station very near to the place. They take their cleanliness seriously. They also explain everything clearly. Even if you don't speak Japanese, they have instructions/explanations in English.

Το 木の家ゲストハウス小山西口館 βρίσκεται σε Oyama, σε απόσταση 50 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Kumagaya Rugby Stadium και παρέχει δωμάτια με κλιματισμό. The owner doesn't live onsite but arrived later to check that everything was okay. He was really kind, gave me an extra blanket, showed me how to use the heating in the dorm room and gave the kitchen a tidy and clean. It's a basic place but functional, a good budget overnight stop. Walking distance from Oyama station if you're light on luggage. There's a convenience store about ten minutes walk away but no other food options that I could see.
