Honestly everything was amazing. Great building, view, facilities, bedrooms, common room, clean and the price is ridiculously good. The host went above and beyond, driving me to the convenience store and bus station early in the morning, and sharing a beer with me in the evening and gave me the best restaurant recommendation. Location very good for Nachi Taisha too.

I slept in the dorm, a new experience! It was quiet all night, and enough room in the capsule. Clean and nice showet. Nice staff. The hostel is right by the train station so it was very convenient as I was taking the train early the next morning. I came from Nachi (Kumano Kodo) and the bus stopped right outside the hotel. Cheap, nice hostel if you need a place to sleep in Katsuura.

The host was so friendly and helpful, the place is so handy to the train station and local restaurants it's ideal. Also the bed was so comfy and had a curtain for privacy

We liked everything! The personell are very helpful. We arrived early and they let us check in directly so that we didn't have to store our luggage before check-in. We also got some free food for breakfast and free coffee. The beds where very comfortable and the location is perfect. We would love to stay here again.

Great place to start and/or finish your Kumano Kodo hike! It’s very close to the Tanabe station, good value for money, the owner is very friendly (speaks English) and goes the extra mile to help you if you have questions about your hike or travels, and the bed is comfortable. I’d come back for sure!
